The full timeline can vary depending on screening, matching, clinic coordination, and cycle timing, but many donation cycles take around 3 to 4 months.

Getting Started:

  1. Apply Online

Your first step is completing the online donor application. This helps our team learn more about your health history, family background, lifestyle, education, and eligibility.

  2. Connect With Our Team

After your application is reviewed, our team will reach out if you may be a fit. During this step, we will answer your questions, explain what to expect, and help you understand the process before you move forward.

  3. Complete Screening

Qualified applicants complete a thorough screening process before being added to the donor database. This may include medical evaluation, ovarian reserve testing, genetic carrier screening, psychological evaluation, background screening, and clinic review. This step is designed to help protect your health, support intended parents, and make sure everyone has important information before a match is made.

Phase Two:

  1. Become an Active Donor

Once you are approved, your donor profile may be added to the Signature Donors database. Intended parents can then review your profile as they search for a donor who feels aligned with their family-building goals. Our team will continue to support you while you wait for a potential match.

  2. Match With Intended Parents

When intended parents select you as their donor, our team will guide you through the next steps. This may include confirming the match, reviewing details, coordinating communication, and preparing for the legal and medical phase of the process.

  3. Review and Sign Legal Agreements

Before any medical cycle begins, legal agreements are completed. This step helps outline expectations, rights, responsibilities, compensation, and future contact preferences. You will have the opportunity to review the agreement and ask questions before moving forward.

Phase Three:

  1. Prepare for Retrieval

During the medical phase, the fertility clinic will guide you through medications and monitoring appointments. These medications help prepare your ovaries for the egg retrieval procedure. You will receive instructions from the clinic, and our team will remain available to help with coordination, timing, travel details if needed, and general support throughout this phase.

  2. Complete the Egg Retrieval

The egg retrieval is a medical procedure performed by the fertility clinic. After the retrieval, you will receive recovery instructions and time to rest. Most donors experience some bloating, cramping, fatigue, or discomfort afterward, and your clinic will explain what to expect based on your specific cycle.

  3. Recover With Support

After retrieval, your recovery matters. A follow-up appointment is typically scheduled 1–2 weeks after the procedure to ensure you are healing properly. Signature Donors will continue to check in, answer questions, and help you understand any next steps so you feel cared for through the completion of your donation experience.
